Bluewater GO! is a direct ministry out of Bluewater Church in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. With the ever-changing landscape of public education, Christian families must wisely discern the best way to educate their children within a Christian worldview to the honour and glory of God.

Our Classical Homeschool Hybrid model consists of 1 @school day and 4@homedays within a given week. This model allows “Tutors” to plan, deliver, and report on the curriculum and parents to remain in the driver’s seat.

Our Story

For a number of years, the Elders and leaders of Bluewater have believed that the next important thing for churches to figure out would be ways to help families with the education of their children as public education became less and less of an option for faithful parents who didn’t want their children indoctrinated by ungodly philosophies.

In order to test possibilities and assess needs, Bluewater hosted the monthly educational day camp called Ready, Set, Go! in the 2023-2024 school year. This program was a huge success and many lessons were learned. It also set the table to serve as a launchpad for a weekly Homeschool Academy.

In the spring of 2024, the Elders commissioned Valerie Cressman to explore the possibilities of launching a Homeschool Academy in the Fall of 2024.

We are excited to see what God has in store for the future of the Bluewater Go! Homeschool Academy!

Accountability, Assessment & Reporting

One of the struggles with traditional homeschooling is the “transcript” and the constant worry of whether or not we are doing the “right” things to help our children succeed.

With BGHA, we shoulder the responsibility of assessment and reporting and will keep diligent transcripts to follow your children through the years.

One of the things that makes BGHA extra special is our Community Connection component. We will regularly connect with a variety of community partners around our city to collaboratively bless those in need and share the love and Truth of Jesus.

Affordable

When public school is off the table for families, they are forced to look at Private Christian Schools or Homeschooling. We know that the private option can be ideal for some, but cost-prohibitive. By offering a “hybrid” model through Bluewater Church, we are able to keep costs down while still providing an excellent program.

For the 2024-2025 school year, we will offer the following programs.

Parent-Student Handbook

Preschool

We will have a 1/2 day play-based learning option for 2-3 year olds.

FDK-Jk/Sk

We will have a full day program available for all students who are ready for kindergarten in September 2024. We will have an initial readiness assessment before final acceptance into the program.

Grades 1/2

We will combine students who fall into one of these levels after prior assessment. Classes will be run in a “rotary”/small group style.

Grades 3/4

We will combine students who fall into one of these levels after prior assessment. Classes will be run in a “rotary”/small group style. We have two electives students can choose from: French or the Arts

Grades 5/6

We will combine students who fall into one of these levels after prior assessment. Classes will be run in a “rotary”/small group style with a choice of an elective in a small group format..

Grades 7/8

We will combine students who fall into one of these levels after prior assessment. Classes will be run in a “rotary”/small group style with a choice of an elective.
